What is QI?

Qi (pronounced “chi”) is the dominant international wireless charging standard. It was developed in 2008 by the Wireless Power Consortium for power transfer over short distances (up to 4 cm or 1.6 inches). It’s the technology standard used in BEZALEL’s Prelude wireless charger. “Chi” is a Chinese term that translates roughly to mean “natural energy” or “energy flow.”

What is wireless charging and how does it work?

Wireless charging (also known as inductive charging) is a convenient, hassle-free way to power up mobile devices. It uses an electromagnetic field instead of a cord to transfer power between charging station and device, thereby eliminating the need for wires. It’s a proven concept that has been used for many years in wirelessly charged household appliances such as electric toothbrushes (that are recharged via a wireless docking station).

BEZALEL’s Prelude uses the global Qi wireless charging standard compatible with most current mobile devices. All that’s required for wireless charging is the Prelude and a Qi-enabled smartphone, smartwatch or tablet. Non Qi-equipped devices (such as the current iPhone) can be made compatible via a Qi receiver patch.

What makes wireless charging so convenient?

Charging cords are a hassle, but they remain an unfortunate fact of life for most smartphone, tablet and wearable device users (a situation BEZALEL is determined to change). Wireless charging allows you to ditch the cables and eliminate the need to plug into a power source. In addition to offering great products like the Prelude, BEZALEL is also working to make wireless charging as omnipresent as wifi hotspots, so you’ll be able to power up wirelessly at a growing number of public spaces.

Imagine sitting down for a cup of coffee and being able to charge your smartphone automatically simply by placing it on the table at your office or any airport or hotel, not to mention your favorite café. While we’re at it, let’s add your car, as well as trains, planes and other forms of mass transit. The benefits of wireless charging in terms of convenience and productivity are immense. It also results in less e-waste and wear-and-tear on mobile devices.

My phone feels warm to the touch after wireless charging. Is this normal?

It’s normal for a device to get slightly warm during wireless charging. Keep in mind that most conventional plug-in chargers also feel warm to the touch while charging.

Are the Prelude charger and the Futura X charger safe to use?

Absolutely. The Prelude (or the Futura X) emits only non-ionizing energy, which is harmless.

iPhone

Does the Futura X work with the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, or iPhone X?

Yes, the Futura X wireless charging pad is specially designed for the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X. It is ultra thin, has a milled aluminum base, a glimmering acrylic surface, and is made to pair with the new iPhones. Simply connect the Futura X to a power source, place your iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X on top of the charging pad and your phone begins charging wirelessly.


Does the Prelude work with the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, or iPhone X?

Yes, the Prelude is a fully portable wireless charger that works like a power bank. Designed for people on the go, it is the ultimate convenient wireless charging device. Once charged up, you can take it with you and wirelessly charge your phone virtually anywhere.

Do the Futura X and Prelude work with previous iPhone models (e.g. iPhone 6, 7)?

Yes. Since Apple did not provide built-in wireless charging capability for the previous iPhones, they would need the BEZALEL wireless charging receiver case to enable wireless charging capability.

Will the Futura X and Prelude work when my phone has a conventional phone case?

Almost always. We've tested many different cases, and the Prelude is compatible with nearly all of them. That said, cases that are extremely bulky and/or constructed of metal can affect charging speed, or may not be work. Click here for compatibility information regarding phone cases.

Samsung

Do the Futura X and Prelude work with the Samsung Galaxy phones?

Yes. Samsung Galaxy S6, S7, S8, and S9 are all equipped with wireless charging capability. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Note 8, and Note 9 have it as well. They are ready for wireless charging out-of-the-box.

Other Phones

What about other devices? Does my phone have built-in wireless charging capability and is it compatible with the Futura X and Prelude?

Both the Futura X and Prelude are compatible with any mobile device that supports the international Qi wireless charging standard. Some phones are compatible right out of the box, while others may require a wireless charging receiver case, like the BEZALEL wireless receiver case. Many mobile devices, including those from leading brands such as Samsung, LG, Nokia, Sony, Motorola and HTC, comply with the Qi standard, and therefore work seamlessly with the Futura X and Prelude wireless chargers. Car

Will the BEZALEL wireless charging receiver cases work with my car's built-in wireless charging system?

Yes! The BEZALEL wireless charging receiver cases work with built-in wireless charging systems provided by major car manufacturers, including GM (Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC), BMW, Mini Cooper, Mercedes-Benz, Genesis, Hyundai, Honda, Toyota and Lexus.

The only obstacle when using the in-vehicle wireless charging pad involves issues unrelated to BEZALEL’s wireless charging receiver case. If there were a problem, it would be mainly due to the size of car’s wireless charging pad in certain vehicles (including some GM and Toyota/Lexus models). The wireless charging pads in some car models are too small to accommodate the larger iPhone models, e.g. iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, or iPhone 8 Plus.

In-vehicle wireless charging pads are often too small for larger phones. Which vehicle models will work with the larger iPhones?

YHere are vehicle models whose size of the wireless charging pads would accommodate the larger iPhones (iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus): 2016-2018 Toyota Tocama, 2018 Honda Odyssey, 2016-17 BMW 7 series, 2017 6 series X3, X5. Click here for more information.

Keep in mind that the iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone 7 Plus will need the BEZALEL iPhone wireless charging case to enable your phone to charge wirelessly in your vehicle or any wireless charger.

How fast does the Futura X charge?

The Futura X has 10W wireless charging capability, which allows you to charge phones that are fast wireless charging compatible, and charge them at a much faster speed than the standard 5W wireless charger. Note that the fast charge power adapter is required for fast wireless charging, e.g. QC 2.0/3.0 9V/1.67A, 9V/2A, 12V/2.1A power adapter.

Can I charge my phone on both landscape and portrait mode?

Yes. You can charge both ways using the accessory stand with the Futura X charging pad. And you can view and use your phone on desktop position while wirelessly charging it at the same time.

How fast does the Prelude charge?

The wireless charging speed for the Prelude is 10W. However, note that some wireless charging receivers may charge at a slightly slower rate. The Prelude can also charge your phone up to 50% faster (7.5W) via its USB output port with a USB cable.

Can I charge multiple devices with the Prelude at the same time?

Yes. The Prelude can wirelessly charge your device and charge a second device (smartphone, tablet etc.) at the same time via its USB output port with a USB cable.

When my iPhone is encased with the BEZALEL wireless receiver case, can I still use a lightning cable to charge it in the traditional way, or use it to sync my iPhone to other devices without removing the case?

Yes. The BEZALEL wireless receiver case has a unique, super-durable and flexible lightning cable connector, which slides out while staying connected to the case, and allows you to sync and charge your iPhone the traditional way without having to remove the case.

Shipping Orders

Items ship via United Parcel Service (USPS) within 1-2 business days of when the order is received and payment is processed, unless noted otherwise. If there is a delay, you will be notified at the time the order is placed or via email. 
A note about “Preordered” purchases: Preordered items ship at an estimated predetermined future date. Orders for multiple products may be delivered via separate shipments.

International Orders:
Orders sent to addresses outside the United States may be assessed local taxes, duties, etc. upon arrival. The shipping provider may also impose additional brokerage fees or other surcharges as part of the customs and tax process. As a general rule, standard shipping takes 6–10 business days for delivery to Canada, Australia and Europe. Delivery to other international destinations generally takes 6–12 business days via express mail.

Delivery Addresses

A complete and accurate delivery address is essential. We are unable to revise the shipping address once your order has been prepared for shipment. If a package is returned to BEZALEL due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, we will contact the customer immediately for a correction. The package will then be re-shipped for an additional shipping fee. If you have a special shipping service request, please don’t hesitate to contact us at support@bezalel.co.

Limited One Year Warranty

BEZALEL warrants, for one year, this product shall be free of defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship. BEZALEL will repair or replace, at its option, any defective product free of charge (not including shipping-related costs). BEZALEL reserves the right to discontinue any of its products without notice, and disclaims any limited warranty to repair or replace any such discontinued products. In the event that BEZALEL is unable to repair or replace a product (for example, because it has been discontinued), BEZALEL will offer either a refund or a credit toward the purchase of another product from BEZALEL in an amount equal to the purchase price of the product (as evidenced on the original purchase receipt, and discounted by its normal use). This warranty excludes damages resulting from normal wear and tear, loss or theft.

Warranty is not automatically renewed after a replacement or repair service has been issued.

For warranty service contact support@bezalel.co within 15 days of the occurrence. You will be required to provide information regarding where and when you purchased the product, along with a copy of the original receipt.

BEZALEL reserves the right to review the damaged product. All costs associated with shipping the product to BEZALEL for inspection will be borne solely by the purchaser.

IN NO EVENT SHALL BEZALEL BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR MULTIPLE DAMAGES SUCH AS, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOST BUSINESS OR PROFITS ARISING OUT OF THE SALE OR USE OF ANY BEZALEL PRODUCT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

The benefits provided to the consumer by this warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies available under applicable laws, which may vary by state and country.

Returns

What’s BEZALEL's Return Policy?

BEZALEL WANTS YOU TO BE THRILLED WITH YOUR NEW PURCHASE, AND WE'RE PROUD TO STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCTS. IN THE UNLIKELY EVENT THAT YOU NEED TO RETURN AN ITEM, WE'RE HERE TO HELP.

There are few important things to keep in mind when you return a product:

• You have the option of receiving a refund or replacing the item(s) within 30 days of your purchasing date. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund.
• In the case of refund, if the returned items are not defective, a minimum of 10% restocking fee will be applied.
• BEZALEL does not have an upgrade policy and cannot exchange for another product.
• Limited warranty is not automatically renewed or extended after a replacement or repair service has been issued.
• Refunds on the returned items will be issued in the matching payment method as tendered at the time of purchase, excluding freight charges.
• Only items that have been purchased directly from BEZALEL, either through the BEZALEL Website or BEZALEL Amazon Online Store, can be returned to BEZALEL. BEZALEL products purchased through other retailers must be returned in accordance with their respective returns and refunds policy.
• Returned items must be repackaged with all original cords, adapters and documentation. If conditions are not met, BEZALEL reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge an additional restocking fee.

What are the steps involved?

Processing a return is simple and hassle-free.

STEP 1: Write to us at support@bezalel.co with a brief description of the issue.
STEP 2: Wait for our response. We typically reply within 24 hours (a bit longer on weekends and holidays). We’ll provide specific return instructions with our response.

How long will it take for me to get a refund?

Once we receive your return, we will process your request within seven (7) business days. Once the return has been processed, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your refund has been applied to your original form of payment. The refund may take several days to post to your account, depending on your financial institution. Please note that we do not refund original shipping costs.
