Apple cancels wireless charging pad?!! "Hmmmmmm"!

Airpods and Airpower

The word in the tech community is that Apple suffered a bruise from canceling the much-awaited wireless charging pad, AirPower. Apple fans have been expecting this multi-device wireless charging plate, which was announced in 2017 to be released the following year, 2018.

It wasn't launched in 2018, and as of recent, the most apologetic news came:

"We’ve concluded AirPower will not achieve our high standards and we have cancelled the project. We apologize to those customers who were looking forward to this launch. We continue to believe that the future is wireless and are committed to push the wireless experience forward.” -Dan Riccio

Even more of a blow to the anticipation of fans was that the new AirPods and Wireless Charging Case were released just two weeks ago. Committed Apple fans with Apple Watches and iPhones 8 or higher may have been holding off on wireless chargers for AirPower's release.Apple's senior VP of Hardware Engineering has aptly highlighted: "We continue to believe that the future is wireless."
