Compared to the Sony Xperia XZ1 the new Sony Xperia XZ2 raises eyebrows with its new design.
A sidestep to the somewhat outdated boxy-shaped style; Sony Xperia XZ2 has introduced curves to fit comfortably on the palm of one's hands. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, being the "Robin" to his big brother-like "Batman", also resembles a curvier sleeker design with no sharp-edged corners.
There are similarities between the Xperia XZ2 & Xperia XZ2 Compact but like any siblings, there are also differences. One can easily spot them just by looking and feeling them, and here are some of those traits we all love to compare and contrast!
With a 5.7 inch screen, Sony Xperia XZ2 has not only a larger screen but a glass front and curved glass back. The XZ2 Compact is a 5 inch screen with polycarbonate back. Both the XZ2 & XZ2 Compact have a metal frame with the same, screen technology. They have the same placements of USB ports, volume, and power bottom. And both have S4 surround speakers 20% louder than predecessors. With no headphone jack and the fingerprint scanner placed on the back, these small details might take some getting-used-to.

3D Creator Feature
Both Xperia XZ2 have 19MP in the rear camera and picks up great detail. However, a lack of optical image stabilization has been one complaint of this feature. The selfie-positioned front camera has only 5MP but they both support AR effects (augmented reality app) and 3D functions (i.e. 3D creator app lets you scan objects, like the picture of your own face, as 3D models.)
The vibrating technology mechanism is not in Xperia XZ2 Compact. This vibration feature is great for playing games, movies, and listening to music for those getting the Xperia XZ2. Another specification not in the Compact is wireless charging.
No Wireless Charging in Xperia XZ2 Compact
That's right. While the new Sony Xperia XZ2 mobile device provides Qi-wireless charging, including fast wireless charging (speed carries up to 9W based on Sony's website for wireless charging), the XZ2 Compact does not offer the mega convenient and now very prevelant feature in most hand-held devices that is wireless charging.
Like any other Qi-charging compatible devices, the Xperia XZ2 can be charged on the Futura X wireless charging pad, which can easily support the Sony Xperia XZ2's fast charging feature.
