Wireless technology is the up-and-coming industry. Every year more outlets and cars introduce Qi charging pads. Smartphone users can charge their phones without wires.
This method of charging offers convenience and luxury. No wonder that luxury Sedans are introducing this technology to their new models.
Buick Lacrosse Sedan
Buick played a part in the recent revival of GM motors. The brand has traditionally been associated with the over-50s population, but recent models and remakes revitalize the brand by appealing to younger generations while maintaining its luxurious comfort and class.
Buick sold over 900,000 Lacrosse large sedans since the modern version was released in 2009, but their latest 2017 redesign could still bring in more young buyers.
The new Lacrosse is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor and 300 pounds lighter.
The new 3.6 liter V-6 engine packs a punch with 310 horsepower and 280 foot-pounds of torque. It's full of features: a stunning Buick grille, LED lighting and discharge headlights, and a place to store and connect your smartphone in the central console.
Back seat passengers can take advantage of the12-volt and 120-volt power outlet for any device from phones to game consoles.
The Buick comes in four trim levels, with the basic model costing around $32,000. The other trims are Preferred, Essence and Premium. The Premium is available in both front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
The 2017 Buick Lacrosse will feature wireless charging capabilities for the first time. Wireless charging comes standard in the Essence and Premium models, so be sure to upgrade if you want to enjoy the benefits of the Qi pad.

Genesis G90 Sedan
The Hyundai Genesis has been an evolving brand. A series of its sedans are comparable to the all-time greats like the BMW 7-Series and Mercedes S-Class. But the Genesis offers better value for the money and has more features that come standard.
The car began its life as the Hyundai Equus, which then became the G80. But it is the 2017 Genesis G90 that's expected to seal the deal as the company's true full-size luxury sedan.
The G90 comes in two trims: 3.3T Premium with 3.3 liter V-6 engine, and 5.0T Ultimate, which boasts a 5 liter V-8 engine capable of 420 horsepower.
The Premium costs around $69,050 while the Ultimate would set you back $70,650.
The cost may seem high when compared to the Lacrosse Sedan but the G90 is a better class of car, and still falls at a lower price bracket than its competitors. You would struggle to find an S-Class for less than $100k!
We're also happy to know that the Genesis G90 comes with wireless charging as standard on both trims. The Qi pad is located beneath the analogue clock in the storage space below the central dashboard. There are USB ports for incompatible smartphones.
Wireless Charging Compatibility
Most Android phones such as the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S8 are now compatible with Qi charging. All you need to do is place your smartphone on your sedan's Qi charging pad and the phone will begin charging upon contact.
Apple iPhones still do not have this capability. If you own an iPhone, you'll need a Latitude Wireless Charging Case to start wireless charging. Encase your iPhone with the Latitude case, then set it on the Qi charging pad.
No need to constantly reconnect and disconnect wires to and from you phone; just grab your phone off the pad and go when it becomes fully charged.
