How to Use the Latitude iPhone 7/6/6s Universal Wireless Charging Case with Your Toyota Vehicle’s In-Car Wireless Charger

February 23, 2016

BEZALEL’s Latitude case for the iPhone is designed to work seamlessly with the in-car wireless charging system in your Toyota vehicle. Models equipped with wireless charging include the 2015, 2016 and 2017:

  • Prius Three
  • Prius Three Touring
  • Prius Four
  • Prius Four Touring
  • Prius Prime
  • Camry XLE
  • Camry XSE
  • Avalon XLE Premium
  • Avalon Touring
  • Tacoma TRD Sport
  • Tacoma TRD Off-Road
  • Tacoma Limited
  • Land Cruiser

Note that the charging pad in these vehicles includes only one transmitter (i.e., charging spot), so you will need the place your iPhone with Latitude case precisely on the charging spot in order to power up.

*Note regarding use in vehicles: While the Latitude works seamlessly with the Qi/PMA transmitter, the wireless charging pad in current every vehicle model is too small to accommodate the iPhone 7 Plus, 6 Plus and 6s Plus (or any similarly large handset). This issue does not affect users with smaller handsets including the iPhone 7, 6 and 6s.

Here's how it works:

For 2015/2016 Toyota Avalon -- the wireless charging pad is integrated into the ebin lid just forward the gear selector. To start charging, press the Qi wireless charger switch beneath the lid. Then place your iPhone 7/6/6s on the pad. Make sure that there is nothing between your smartphone and the bottom of the tray. An amber indicator is illuminated while charging is in progress. Unfortunately, the charging pad in these vehicles is too small to accommodate the larger iPhone 7 Plus/6 Plus/6s Plus handsets.

For 2015/2016/2017 Toyota Camry -- the wireless charging pad is located in the center console tray just forward of the gear selector. To access the charger, simply press the panel lid and open the cover. Then press the Qi wireless charger switch and place your iPhone 7/6/6s on the pad. An amber indicator is illuminated while charging is in progress. Unfortunately, the charging pad in these vehicles is too small to accommodate the larger iPhone 7 Plus/6 Plus/6s Plus handsets.

For 2016 Toyota Tacoma -- the wireless charging pad is located in the center console just forward of the gear selector. To start charging, press the Qi wireless charger switch located just above the charging bin. Then simply setting your phone in the mobile charging tray. Make sure that there is nothing between your smartphone and the bottom of the tray. An amber indicator is illuminated while charging is in progress.

For 2016/2017 Toyota Prius, 2017 Prius Prime -- The wireless charging pad is located behind of the gear selector. To start charging, simply press the Qi wireless charger switch and place your iPhone 7/6/6s on the pad. An amber indicator is illuminated while charging is in progress. It's important to make sure that there are no objects in-between the mobile device and the tray as they may interfere with charging. Unfortunately, the charging pad in these vehicles is too small to accommodate the larger iPhone 7 Plus/6 Plus/6s Plus handsets.
